It sports new tires and brakes, so it could continue to be driven daily if appearances are secondary. The car has 160,000 miles on it and is said to run well, although no mention is made if the 225 cubic inch six-banger or TorqueFlite automatic have ever been apart. For 1972, Dodge built more than 263,000 Darts of which more than half wore the Swinger script (Plymouth would build even more Valliant’s and their version of the Swinger was called the Scamp).Ĭharacterized as a daily driver even at nearly 50 years of age, this ’72 Swinger could have plenty of life left. With mostly cosmetic changes for ten model years, the autos would remain a Chrysler staple until the ill-fated Dodge Aspen/Plymouth Volare series arrived as their replacements. The Dart nameplate had begun life as a full-size car but joined the Valiant in the compact car ranks in 1963. The A-bodied Dodge Darts and Plymouth Valliant’s enjoyed a lengthy run from 1967-76. ![]() Located in Greenup, Kentucky (cool name for a town!), this Swinger is available here on eBay where the bidding stands at a flat $3,000. It looks to be a forest find brought back to life. This ’72 edition has the basic Slant-Six engine and is said to be a good running car, but some work will be needed to bring the body and interior up to the same level. ![]() But quite attractive compared to cars like the Chevy Nova which still had doorposts. It wasn’t quite as sporty as the Demon (later called Dart Sport) which was offered as a fastback. The 1970s Dart Swinger was the hardtop version of Dodge’s popular compact car.

The atomic mass unit (amu) is the standard unit used to express atomic mass. The atomic mass is the sum of the masses of its protons, neutrons, and electrons an electron’s mass is so small in comparison to the other particles that its mass is simply that of the nucleus (protons and neutrons). The relative abundance of isotopes in a naturally occurring element is used to calculate the average mass of an element. ![]()
Ironically, it still didn't block the detection on Tom's Guide here, but then I find it ironic this site has an article on the best ad blockers while using an ad blocker detecter itself. Meanwhile, I've found "Techblocker" to be better than any of the above ad blockers as it actually bypasses the ad blocker detecters on over a dozen major sites (including Yahoo Mail), but I think it's only available for Chrome at the present time (itself an inside source of info for Google itself). Now, to read a 2 kilobytes of TEXT, I have to load 5 megabytes or more of cumbersome web pages graphics and ads when all I care about is the 2 kilobytes of text that actually compromises a typical news article, for example. I remember loading them on 56kbps modem in the 1990s. Only after it came into general use were sites magically able to detect you are using an ad blocker. What good is an ad blocker that only gets you locked out of perhaps 70% of all Internet sites you want to visit? I believe HTML5 is directly responsible. More and more sites are incorporating code that disables the site entirely or many of the features if an adblocker is in use. Others, like AdBlocker Ultimate, take a more aggressive approach. Some ad blockers, such as AdBlock Plus include filters and the ability to let in non-obtrusive advertising. Do you just want to stop annoying pop-up ads from appearing or do you want the full range of services, including privacy features and an end to ad-tracking? Many of the best ad blockers are available for free, either as extensions or as standalone apps, though a few, like AdLock, charge a fee. ![]() The usual caveats apply: Browsing through Tor will slow down the web experience, and some features, like video streams and video files won’t work in order to preserve anonymity.ĭownload Onion Browser: iOS How to choose the best ad blocker for you Previously a premium app, Onion Browser has since moved to a donation model, opening up access to everyone who wants to download the app, without compromising security or features. ![]() Both also allow for the standard set of data to be stored about each person listed in your tree. Like HuMo-gen, these two are developed using PHP and a MySQL backend, allowing it to run on most general purpose web hosting configurations. Though there's a good deal of feature overlap, webtrees took a slightly different direction with the project after several of PhpGedView's developers moved over to the new project.īoth projects have a variety of report types, supported import and export formats, and different views for the data included. The final genealogy projects we'll highlight here are PhpGedView, and its fork, webtrees. Released under version 2 of the GPL, you can check out the Gramps project and its source code on SourceForge. You can bookmark individual relativees for easy access, and it handles historic calendar formats for dates not in the modern Gregorian calendar. Gramps has a number of features and views, including stored geographic information and media, citations and sources, events records, and a dashboard interface called "Gramplets" to help you keep track of the progress of your research. Gramps uses its own format, an XML variant which is also open, although it can import and export from GEDCOM as well. While first written for Linux and similar unix-like systems, today Gramps runs on Windows and OS X as well as its original Linux base. Gramps, originally standing for "Genealogical Research and Analysis Management Programming System," is a Python-based desktop tool for managing genealogical data. The HuMo-gen software and its source code are available for download from SourceForge and it is made available as open source under version 3 of the GPL. As a web application, HuMo-gen allows you to easily style the output with simple CSS, and it has other interesting features as well, like a ancestory birthday RSS feed. The program can generate a number of reports on the data you store inside of it, including ancestors, descendants, timelines, and an outline view. Also featured in HuMo-gen are access control groups, allowing you to decide which information is public, and what additional information is revealed to any number of tiers of access. ![]() It allows for storing a number of attributes for each member of the family tree, from the basic names and dates to locations, witnesses, and sources, and you can add attached files to any family member as well. Originally created in 1999 by Dutch developer Huub Mons, HuMo-gen is now available in a number of languages, including English, and is still being actively developed. HuMo-gen is a web-based genealogy program, based on PHP and MySQL, allowing it to run on nearly any standard web server platform of your choosing. Here we look at three free tools for organizing family historical records, all open source, which can help in your search for your own family's past. Most programs designed to help you patch together your family tree utilize a common data format for import and export, called GEDCOM, which allows for the use of many different software programs for working with the same dataset, and makes sharing easy regardless of what platform your collaborators choose to use. Providing a number of different features, and running on a variety of platforms, family tree researchers can choose between many options to meet their needs, and many of these choices are free, open source, and usable on a Linux operating system. Individuals seeking to learn more about their pedigree or simply discover more about their family's past have built vibrant communities of like-minded (and possibly related) individuals to help each other play historical detective and track down the missing links in their chain of ancestry.įortunately, to assist in this historical sleuthing and help to organize all of the important names, dates, and documents which paint the picture of their kinship, amateur and professional genealogists alike have access to a slew of software tools. The online sites usually offer free family tree template so that you do not need to worry about any extra expense to create the family tree.Genealogy, the study of family histories, is a popular pastime for millions of people worldwide. The tree template will either come with blank boxes or boxes featuring identity of your family members where you would just need to input the names. ![]()
The Central African name for okra suggests that these stews are closely related to the Creole dish called gumbo, popular in Louisiana. ![]() Fante fante has flavors reminiscent of the Brazilian Bahian fish stew called moqueca, without the coconut milk. Fresh fish is added and steamed in the stew, then finally a small amount of okro is added to finish off the dish. A juicy palm oil stew is made with onions and tomatoes. As the name suggests, this stew comes from the Fante people of Ghana. Fetri detsi, an Ewe dish from the Volta region of Ghana, is the perfect example of this.Īnother stew which follows a similar process and ingredients to okra stew is fante fante. Okra can be cooked without tomatoes, where the okra is chopped or finely grated, oil is rarely used, more water is added, and the resulting sauce is more of a soup. The different versions of okro stew around the world To make an impressive dish, a completely seafood okra topped with crabs or a lobster tail will impress your dinner guests. Chicken is rarely used however smoked turkey has been tried and tested. Meat such as beef, lamb, pork, goat, cow foot and ham hock go well with okra stew. When the stew has such a fine and viscous consistency, it is sometimes referred to as “draw” soup with draw describing the slimy viscosity of the soup. This encourages the sliminess of the okra to come out even more. To achieve this, the okra is finely chopped or even grated, then cooked with slightly more added water. Others prefer their okra stew with a highly viscous consistency. Some people like their okra less slimy and still intact, therefore cooking time is reduced, or the okra is cut into larger chunks. The cooking time varies according to preference. Some people steam the okra prior to adding, which results in a sauce that is more viscous, whilst others add the raw okra without pre-cooking. Once the tomato stew base has cooked and broken down into a sauce, an assortment of meat, seafood or both is added. Other seasonings such as chicken stock cube or shrimp seasoning can be used to enhance the flavor. The first step is to make a tomato stew base with red palm oil, onions, tomatoes, tomato purée (optional), garlic, ginger and peppers. Making okra stew for the first time may seem daunting, however the process is fairly easy to follow. It is possible that Ethiopia has been referenced in times past, however the exact location did not relate to modern day Ethiopia, but rather West and Central Africa. It is interesting to note, however, that an old Herman Moll (1710 AD) map of Africa depicts Ethiopia as a vast country spreading from the Biafra region and modern-day Cameroon in West Africa and North of Congo to just West and South of modern-day Somalia and Ethiopia respectively. ![]() Okra is thought to be of African origin, particularly West Africa or Ethiopia, although others believe it has origins within South Asia. Okra stew comes in many forms and consistencies, from fairly slimy to almost soupy, and can be mixed with other vegetables such as garden eggs, or left simply as okra stew. The main components of okro stew are a tomato stew base made with red palm fruit oil, onions, tomatoes, spices and finely chopped okra. Okro stew (or okra stew) is one of the best accompaniments to banku, one of Ghana’s national dishes. ![]() ![]() Mauzens-et-Miremont men inhabitants from 15 to 29 years : 22 Mauzens-et-Miremont men inhabitants from 0 to 14 years : 23 Men population distribution of Mauzens-et-Miremont by age in 2007 : Men population of Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2007 Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 75 years or more : 36 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 60 to 74 years : 86 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 45 to 59 years : 50 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 30 to 44 years : 73 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 15 to 29 years : 25 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 0 to 14 years : 69 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 75 years or more : 41 inhabitantsĭistribution of the population of Mauzens-et-Miremont by age in 1999 : Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 60 to 74 years : 69 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 45 to 59 years : 76 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 30 to 44 years : 60 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 15 to 29 years : 36 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont from 0 to 14 years : 46 inhabitants Mauzens-et-Miremont : evolution of births and deaths from 1968 to 2007ĭistribution of the population of Mauzens-et-Miremont by ageĭistribution of the population of Mauzens-et-Miremont by age in 2007 : Mauzens-et-Miremont in 1999 : 5 births and 2 deaths Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2000 : 1 births and 5 deaths Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2001 : 1 births and 3 deaths Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2002 : 2 births and 3 deaths Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2003 : 2 births and 5 deaths Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2004 : 1 births and 6 deaths Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2005 : 1 births and 2 deaths Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2006 : 3 births and 4 deaths Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2007 : 0 births and 3 deaths Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2008 : 2 births and 3 deaths Mauzens-et-Miremont : births and deaths from 1999 to 2008 Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont in 1968 : 377 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont in 1975 : 294 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont in 1982 : 330 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont in 1990 : 302 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont in 1999 : 339 inhabitants Population of Mauzens-et-Miremont in 2007 : 328 inhabitants This provides more precisely the population of the municipality of Mauzens-et-Miremont the years where no census has been taken.
