and the app on my Samsung Galaxy works fine as well. What's odd is that I can open the Spotify app on the same laptop and it works. No matter what I try, I'm still Offline (even though every other application and web page works fine). I've logged out and back in, restarted the browser, the laptop - nothing helps. I just recently went premium on a family plan and ever since then the web player in my browser (Chrome on OS X) switched to Offline mode. I use it a lot because it's easier on my system than the desktop program. The web player is a browser-based Spotify client, lightweight and basic player. I did manage to find out who the 'owner' of the mystery playlist is: I found a topic somewhere about it, but it doesn't work. About 6 months ago the following problem started: everytime I play music, be it my own playlists or from someone else, sooner or later it just stops playing! when I check it out, it says it's playing on Spotify Web Player, and it's always playing the song Bailando by Enrique Iglesias! Sometimes a fake Despacito version, some kind of cover!! I have nothing to do with these songs or artists, not my style at all, they are not in my saved music or to be found anywhere else on my account, besides this mystery Spotify Web Player! I have not found a way to disable this Spotify Web Player. I have spotify for around 1 year now, maybe a bit more. Then I restarted chromium and suddenly everything works. The solution was to go to facebook web page -> and remove spotify from accessing facebook. The second time I didn't have it installed in my phone anymore so I contacted a friend who recently had the same issue. The first time it accidentally resolved just by fiddling with the android spotify. The desktop app is full of bugs and basically unuseable to me so having the web player down was a nightmare. Then I followed your suggestion and just clicked on the devices dropdown to select my computer (also listening while at work) and tada! I have music again. Thank you so much! I was trying so many things. So guys, what should I do to use Spotify in the GX player ? the spotify support page does not provides an answer for opera users, and talks about Widevine, which is not available anymore for opera. The error message is "activate securised (safe ?) playing in your browser settings" but i've done that already. Everything's fine EXCEPT that it seems Opera GX cannot use spotify anymore. So i just started to migrate from Chrome, which I have been using for the last 7 years and only lacks privacy, for a more gamer-centered browser.
